A cable car goes to the top of Mt. Yashima, where there is a beatiful view over Takamatsu. On the top is Yashima-ji, that is number 84 in the pilgrim journey in Shikoku. This temple is said to have been founded by Ganjin, a famous Chinese priest, in 753.  At the foot at Mt. Yoshina is Yashima shrine and the open air museum Shikoku Mura ( photos see Takamatsu).
